Trout are cannabalistic, and browns especially. Browns will eat almost anything. Here is an improved 5-inch version of my brown trout pattern, tied with heavy-wire hooks for bigger trout and striped bass, etc. Tail is tied fluke-style because of the weight in the front; fly is weight-balanced for easier casting.
